1. About PIKITUP

PIKITUP is a free platform for giving away and finding free items in Switzerland. We only provide the technical infrastructure – we are not a party to the transactions between users and assume no responsibility for the items given away.

2. Basic rules

What is allowed:

• Offer and pick up items for free
• Upload photos and descriptions of items
• Mark picked-up items as such
• Report inappropriate content

What is forbidden:

• Offer items for sale (including «best offer» or «negotiable»)
• Offer counterfeit, stolen or illegal items
• Offer food, medication or dangerous substances
• Provide false location information
• Post spam, advertising or commercial content
• Insults, discrimination or offensive content
• Use the platform for purposes other than intended

3. Account and registration

To give away items, you need an account. Registration is free. You must provide truthful information.

You are responsible for the security of your account. Do not share your password and report suspicious activity immediately.

Multiple accounts are not allowed. In case of abuse, all associated accounts may be suspended.

4. Items and content

You are responsible for all content you publish on PIKITUP:

• Items must be accurately described
• Photos must show the actual condition
• The location must be correctly specified
• You may only offer items that belong to you
• Items must genuinely be free

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules without prior notice.

5. Disclaimer

• PIKITUP is only an intermediary – we are not a party to transactions
• We make no guarantees regarding the quality, safety or legality of items
• Picking up items is at your own risk
• We are not liable for damages arising from the use of the platform
• The platform is provided «as is» without warranty

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete your account if you:

• Violate these terms of use
• Abuse the platform
• Have provided false information
• Endanger the community

You can delete your account yourself at any time. Already published items will also be removed.

7. Intellectual property

The PIKITUP brand, logo, design and platform code are our intellectual property.

Content you upload remains your property. However, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display this content on the platform and use it for the operation of the service.

8. Changes

We may change these terms of use at any time. We will inform you of significant changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

9. Applicable law

These terms of use are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland. For consumers, the mandatory provisions of their country of residence apply.
